This power point design was for a presentation at the 2015 BC Studies Conference in Richmond BC. The deck needed to be modern and eye catching. The topic is not well known and images to support the presentation were not plentiful.
The presentation was designed with a modern theme to help break the stereotype of Aboriginal people being “freeze dried” into a traditional past.
This report used graphic design to breath life into an extensive ethno-historical and archaeological research project.
The report needed to provide a concise list of the physical assets being returned; folders, papers, microfilm, audio cassettes/CDs, as well as explain the digital files being delivered and how to use those files.
DM Cultural Services needed a report after finishing a large scale audio digitisation and archival digitisation project. The report needed to be a quick snapshot of the files and audio recordings being returned to the Nation as well as a brief on the files that had been digitised, how they had been digitally organised, and what remained to be completed.
The booklet needed to be user friendly and for a non-Aboriginal audience. Its purpose was to explain respectful etiquette and protocols for working in Lax Kw’alaams territories as well as a concise historical narrative of the People and their territories.
